Dr. Wolfgang Zinser, MD

Primarius (ret.) (DE) Dr. med. Wolfgang Zinser is a renowned specialist in orthopedics and traumatology with over 20 years of experience. His special expertise lays in the field of joint and cartilage regeneration. With more than 2000 ACI’s in the knee, hip and ankle, he is one the most experienced orthopedic surgeons in this field.

For more than 10 years Dr. Zinser was chief physician at St. Vinzenz Hospital in Dinslaken, Germany, where about 1,000 patients were treated annually with joint-preserving surgery. In 2021, he moved to Austria and founded OrthoExpert, a center for joint preserving orthopedics. He further works as physician at private clinic Graz Ragnitz, Austria, and serves as Director of the Metagil Physical Outpatient Clinic closely cooperating with physiotherapists, practicing colleagues and associations in Austria.

He is chair of the German ICRS-Group, QKG (society for joint preservation and cartilage regeneration, Germany) and German Cartilage Academy. Dr. Zinser is certified AGA (German-speaking society for arthroscopy and joint surgery) expert for hip, knee and ancle as well as AGA faculty member and member of AGA hip committee. He has been involved nationally and internationally as an educator, speaker, and advisor and is co-author of various scientific publications.

Dr. Zinser holds an MD degree from Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf, Germany.
